| Abstract: | The rapid advancement of diagnostic and interventional techniques in pulmonary medicine has created substantial challenges for conventional training approaches, including short-term clinical rotations and traditional mentor-apprentice models, which are often hindered by limited case exposure, inconsistent teaching standards, and a lack of accessible self-directed learning resources. To address these issues, this study—supported by an institutional grant—developed a specialized digital educational repository for interventional pulmonology. Utilizing the departmental WeChat official account as a mobile-friendly online platform, we curated a diverse array of instructional materials, comprising standardized textbooks, high-definition procedure videos, representative complex cases, and topic-focused micro-lectures. A structured online curriculum was subsequently delivered to trainees in standardized specialty training, and its effectiveness was quantitatively assessed via periodic online examinations. A total of 99 medical staff who participated in the training between March and August 2025 were recruited and categorized based on their learning mode into a systematic learning group (Group A, n=59) and a self-directed fragmented learning group (Group B, n=40). Results demonstrated that Group A attained a mean score of 100.97 with an accuracy rate of 97.00%, whereas Group B scored a mean of 20.75 with an accuracy of 58.20%. The systematic learning group exhibited significantly superior performance in both learning engagement and theoretical knowledge acquisition compared to the fragmented learning group. The developed digital resource library offers standardized, modular educational content that markedly enhances the quality of specialized training in interventional pulmonology. Furthermore, given its low construction and maintenance costs, this approach is highly reproducible and holds considerable potential for broader adoption across respiratory medicine departments in healthcare institutions at all levels. |
