Narrative Art in the Movie "Hi, Mom"

| Abstract: | The success of the movie "Hi, Mom" originated from the narrative art carefully constructed by the director. In the film, the director breaks and reconstructs the narrative order, allowing time and space to switch freely with the development of the plot. The classic theme of maternal love has aroused the empathy of the public. The comprehensive use of various narrative techniques is also an important reason for the success of the film. In addition, the director perfectly integrated humorous, nostalgic and philosophical elements into the film, making the audience cry after laughter. It is worth mentioning that the film integrates some philosophical topics of universal significance into the narrative, which arouses the audience's in-depth thinking about the philosophy of life. Besides, the educational theme in the film is also instructive, as it warns us that grades are by no means the only criterion for evaluating educational success. From the perspective of narrative, narrative theme and narrative skills, the analysis of the narrative art in the film can deepen the understanding of the film's connotation. As one of the most successful films of the year 2021, "Hello, Mom" is a tragicomedy that tugs at the audience's heartstrings and arouses public empathy. |
