Abstract: Purpose: Based on the analysis of factors that might affect the male fertility, and according to the practical experience and the current status of the male pregnancy preparation, the pre-pregnancy intervention measures were put forward in order to improve the quality for both male sperm and the embryo, to avoid the occurrence of birth defects, which would provide theoretical support for male preparation of pregnancy. Methods: Through the analysis of the current status and our practical experience on male pregnancy, to find out the factors that might affect the quality of male sperm, and put forward feasible measures. Results: There were many possible factors affecting the quality of male sperm, such as the rapid economic development, environmental pollution, the change of diet, the increase of unhealthy life style and the delay of childbearing age, with the increase of mental stress and iatrogenic injury, the quality of male sperm could be effectively improved by intervening the above factors, including nutrition supplement, change bad habits, antioxidant supplements, rational drug use, avoiding iatrogenic injury etc. Results: In this paper, we analyzed the factors that may influence the quality of male sperm, and put forward scientific suggestions and feasible practical strategies, it has theoretical and practical value for good pregnancy outcome and avoiding birth defects.Abstract: Purpose: Based on the analysis of factors that might affect the male fertility, and according to the practical experience and the current status of the male pregnancy preparation, the pre-pregnancy intervention measures were put forward in order to improve the quality for both male sperm and the embryo, to avoid the occurrence of birth defects, whi...Learn More
Abstract: Background: Combined cervical cancer and pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is extremely uncommon and there is no standard treatment guideline for the complex comorbidity. We attempted to provide a treatment strategy and explore possible reasons for the comorbidities. Case presentation: We presented a 62-year-old patient seeking treatment for postmenopausal tissue prolapse and leakage of urine. The gynecologic examination revealed the uterine prolapse with a 2.5 cm papillary and erosive lesion on the cervix that was pathologically confirmed as cervical squamous cell carcinoma in stage Ib1. Clinical diagnosis included cervical squamous cell carcinoma in stage Ib1, prolapse of uterus and vagina, stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Then she was performed radical surgery for cervical cancer and tension-free vaginal tape-obturator (TVT-O). The urine function was good after operation. The surgery solved two diseases, which improved the quality of life (QOL) of patient and radically cured cervical carcinoma at the same time. Follow up for more than two years, HPV was negative, no prolapse symptoms occurred, and the quality of life was good. Conclusions: Surgical-based treatment seems to be more suitable that can cure the two diseases and improve the QOL. We should pay attention to the potential high incidence of HPV infection and HPV-related cervical cancer so that we should not ignore the screening for cervical cancer in the prolapse group and initiate surgery treatment strategies of cervical cancer or pre-cancerous lesions as early as possible to reach an optimal outcome of patient.Abstract: Background: Combined cervical cancer and pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is extremely uncommon and there is no standard treatment guideline for the complex comorbidity. Abstract: Objective: To study the prognostic factors in Full crown restoration of Premolars with cervical defect by analyzing long-term survival. Methods: A total of 432 Premolars with cervical defect, selected from 2012 Jan to 2014 Dec, were restored by Full crown. According to different repair methods, they were divided into resin repair group and post core repair group. The effect was analyzed by Cox regression analysis in 5-year follow-up. Results: Different repair methods (RR=0.567, 95% CI: 0.355~0.907), Teeth contact (RR=0.033, 95% CI: 0.016~0.840), Abutment teeth (RR=0.494, 95% CI: 0.308~0.793), Dentin shoulder collar (RR=11.465, 95% CI: 6.653~19.759), Defect size RR=0.386, 95% CI: 0.187~0.798) were the isolated factor influencing the prognosis. Further subgroup analysis shows that, the survival rate of the affected teeth as abutments restored with single crown fixed dentures is higher than that restored with fixed bridge dentures (χ2=4.141, P =0.0419). The survival rate of reinforced abutments restored with fiber posts is higher than that of reinforced abutments restored with metal posts (χ2=18.12, P =0.0001)。The C-index of the nomogram for prognosis was 0.838. Conclusion: In order to improve the long-term preservation rate, different restoration methods for Premolars with cervical defect should be selected according to different situations.Abstract: Objective: To study the prognostic factors in Full crown restoration of Premolars with cervical defect by analyzing long-term survival.
