Abstract: Objective To construct a communication model for elderly patients and promote better communication between clinical nurses and elderly patients. Methods Based on the theory of nursing etiquette, this study gradually established and revised the construction plan of communication mode for elderly patients through literature retrieval, semi-structured interview, expert consultation and analytic hierarchy process, and finally formed the final draft of the plan. Results The recovery rates of the two rounds of expert consultation questionnaires were 100%. The expert authority coefficients were 0.88 and 0.87, respectively. The Kendall 's coefficient of concordance was 0.424 and 0.457, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The communication model of elderly patients based on nursing etiquette theory includes 9 dimensions and 54 items. Conclusion The research on the construction of communication mode for elderly patients based on nursing etiquette theory is rigorously completed, which has certain scientific practicability and feasibility, and has reference value for clinical nursing communication for elderly patients.Abstract: Objective To construct a communication model for elderly patients and promote better communication between clinical nurses and elderly patients.
